Linwood, North Carolina Ghost Tales






The bright hours in Linwood, North Carolina are like bright hours anywhere else, but undeceased ghosts of days gone by in this settlement don't appear to wish to die. The phantoms of this town don’t leave anyone unterrified. Doubters don't believe in the local phantom accounts, but everyone who stays in Linwood is not alive.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently:

The creepy ghost of a Gaul is frequently witnessed spending time in a derelict home in Linwood.

The spirit of a pregnant lady may be noticed time and again looking at the water by Buck Ash Pond late at night.

The ghost of a young-looking gentleman dressed in a denim jacket has every so often been observed pulling a body from the ice cold water of the Yadkin River around midnight.

A headless gentleman has purportedly been spotted on one or two occasions in Daniel Boone State Park after midnight reading a newspaper.

A lady with her right arm and left leg chopped off may every now and then be noticed bass fishing from the shore of High Rock before dawn.

A military outfit pacing around with no body in it was observed in a Linwood home. Other folks nearby have had matching occurrences with a very similar ghost. One thing is for guaranteed, it's a terrifying ghost that you shouldn't go looking for.
